What to Expect
On your first Chiropractic Visit

Arrival

Our goal is to provide excellent chiropractic care to help individuals and families regain and maintain their health. At Natural Chiropractic Healing, you can expect Dr. Noey to provide you with the highest quality chiropractic care in a warm, caring, and educational environment.  Whether you are looking for relief from acute or chronic pain or want to maintain wellness, we can help you!
When you enter our office, a member of our friendly staff or Dr. Noey will greet you and welcome you as a member of our family.  We will request that you complete patient intake forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition. If patients wish to use insurance (For Chiropractic services ONLY) they should bring their insurance card and photo ID. For both services, we ask that you bring in or list any medications and/or nutrients you are currently taking.  You will be taken on a short tour to get you acquainted with our beautiful new facility.  Then, you will be escorted into the consultation/exam room.
Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This  initial visit is designed to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations and  to determine how chiropractic/colon hydrotherapy care can meet your goals.  Our patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance. That's good because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable setting surrounding. Your history and future goals for health will be recorded. During the consultation, you will obtain a general understanding of proper dietary needs, postural concerns, nutritional needs, etc.. Once you've agreed to proceed, you will receive a general vitals examination. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Examination

After your consultation, Dr. Noey will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your range of motion, reflexes, flexibility, neurological, orthopedic, and postural.  However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent. Our patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance. Our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable setting.

X-Ray Studies

Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close.

X-RAYS and most lab tests can be taken, in the office, the same day.

Chiropractic

Your first Chiropractic session will be approximately 1 hour, thereafter
15-25 minutes.).  After a Chiropractic exam, you will generally return the next day for a report of findings and the beginning of care.  On that day, a care plan is developed  based on your health goals.

Custom Treatment Plan

After your detailed consultation and examination, Dr. Noey will study your
X-rays and will develop a custom treatment plan based on your goals and needs.  On your second visit Dr. Noey will go over your plan in detail and answer any questions you may have.

Report of Findings (Next Visit)
We'll spend 15 minutes reviewing our findings with you offering answers to the four questions most patients have when they consult our office:
  • What’s wrong?
  • Can chiropractic help?
  • How long will it take?
  • How much will it cost?
The Choice is Yours
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine    and     X-rays, Dr. Noey will make recommendations and you'll be presented with some choices:
  • Proceed with chiropractic care
  • Ignore the problem hoping it will resolve
  • Medication to reduce symptoms
  • Physical therapy
  • Surgical intervention
Treatment
At the conclusion of the second appointment, you can choose to experience your first treatment. This may include physical therapy, soft tissue therapy such as Active Release Techniques, spinal adjustments and home exercises.  Treatment is interactive, so feel free to ask as many questions as you like.

Regular Visits

After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length. In a word: no. A typical office visit may require just 15-25 minutes. But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly size up the condition of your spine and nervous system, Pain, Pain during Pregnancy, Rotator Cuff Injury, Sciatica (shooting leg pain), Shoulder Pain, TMJ Syndrome (jaw pain), Whiplash Injury (motor vehicle collision injury), Foot Pain, and more.

A regular visit may include heat/ ice, electric stimulation, Active Release Techniques, Chiropractic adjustments, and rehabilitation exercises.  Initial Consultation, Auto Injury Rehabilitation, Spinal and Orthopedic exam, Posture Correction, X-Rays Spinal Adjustments, Extremity Adjustments, Exercise Rehabilitation, Manual Soft Tissue Therapy, Custom Orthotics, Injury Rehabilitation- Children and Adults.
Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and you can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes. We provide regular re-evaluations for progress of care and honest recommendations that honor your health goals.

Colon Hydrotherapy (Colonic)

After the colonic exam, you are taken to the colonic suite for your colonic. Dr. Noey or our certified colon hydrotherapist will assist with your colonic. On that day, a care plan is developed based on your health goals. For colonic service, the first visit is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours (approx. 45 minutes for consultation and exam; 45 minutes for the colonic session). We ask that you not eat two hours prior to their appointment.  Also, drink lots of water (you must be well hydrated). The use of any laxatives or stimulants prior to the visit is not recommended.

Colonic hydrotherapy is a safe and painless treatment to remove debris and toxic waste build-up.  Colon Hydrotherapy also known as Colonic Irrigation is an effective method of removing waste from the large intestine, without the use of drugs. By introducing  a gentle infusion of warm filtered and temperature-regulated water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through the natural contraction of the bowel. Colon irrigation is best used in combination with adequate nutrition and fluid intake as well as exercise.

Natural Chiropractic Healing uses one of  the safest and most trusted devices available. Our LIBBE devices are Class II FDA approved device. The LIBBE system promotes both safety and sanitation. The recommended duration of the procedure is between 30-45 minutes. Our facilities provide complete privacy while utilizing the highest forms of sterile, odorless, disposable and hygienic device available.

Through each and every session, you will be assisted by fully trained, experienced female Certified Colon Hydrotherapists.  The water pressure of the hydrotherapy device is adjusted to suit your comfort. Disposable materials are used and  we use no chemicals or stimulants. The procedure is painless, relaxing, and most effective in cleansing the bowel. Many are amazed at how easy and comfortable this procedure is.  The results are incredible.

The Colonic Irrigation Procedure

A colonic is much more effective that a home enema, as it clears the whole length of the colon whereas the enema can only reach the lower parts of the colon, though still doing a very good job.

Looking after your colon is essential to your overall holistic health. Don’t neglect this part of the body. Although often overlooked compared to other areas of your health, the colon plays a very important role in the function of the whole body. It has major effects on all other organs of the body. So a poor colon means a poor liver, heart, kidney and skin.

Our increasingly “fast-food nation” diet in the Western world, means we are eating more and more toxic food and as pollution continues to increase, we are breathing increasing amounts of toxins.

Massage Therapy

Your first visit will typically take a little longer than regular appointments. You will be asked to completed a confidential health history form and your Massage Therapist will ask you a number of questions related to your condition as well as your general health history.  This will help your therapist determine the best care for you.

Therapists usually ask new patients about symptoms, medical history, and desired results. They may also perform an evaluation through touch, to locate painful or tense areas and determine how much pressure to apply.

Typically, the patient lies on a table, either in loose-fitting clothing or undressed (covered with a sheet, except for the area being massaged). The therapist may use oil or lotion to reduce friction on the skin. Sometimes, people receive massage therapy while sitting in a chair. A massage session may be fairly brief, but may also last an hour or even longer.
