Philosophy/Approach:
I believe the body is created with all the tools necessary to be healthy and dis-ease free. When we don't maintain those tools, we get sick. Illness and pain are just warning signals that something needs to be done. The goal must be to restore the body to proper function, not mask symptoms.
I encourage my patients to take responsibility for their health and health care. I see people as they can be, not as a bunch of symptoms. As a matter of fact, once my intake is complete, I generally will not talk about your illness again. Power is in words. In my office, I will only give power to wellness.
I want people to know that they are in control of their future health status, not a medical test or scan. Achieving wellness is not easy or convenient, but it is possible. My ideal patient is ready for the challenge.
Mission:
I am passionate about inspiring and empowering people to be self-sufficient in the area of health. I believe everyone has a purpose on this earth. Mine is to be an advocate for health and healing. People are often referred to my office by loved ones or friends. This is truly the highest compliment. My hope is that everyone who comes into my office is impacted by his or her own power and right to heal themselves.
Education/Training:
I obtained dual Bachelor's Degrees in Kinesiology (from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA) and Human Biology (from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL). I achieved the Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences in 2001 with an emphasis in Nutrition. After graduation, I trained with several colon therapists, learning both open and closed colonic systems. I received and maintain colon therapy certification through I-ACT. I have been in private practice for 10 years.
